I literally just installed Google Drive instead of Save and Sync, following de Google advice, and I instantly regretted. I thought I had that option in the old Backup and Sync (perhaps I'm imagining that), but the wizard just transitioned me into this new app and I can't find it now. Is it, or has it always been, the case that anything in GDrive is automatically synced? I can't find an option to opt any folder within GDrive in or out of being synced. It tells me that 'some files are too small to sync.' Any options here? I'd really like to clear this error as it's annoying just sitting there all the time. I get the 'some errors occurred' message for about a dozen very old photos. As does the 1GB+ large sync that I do bi-weekly. Every time I restart my laptop, it has to examine each synced file and that process seems to work faster.

I will say that I think the new sync app seems to work much faster. synced icons are so small as to be imperceptible.
